IRON COUNTY BOARD OF REALTORS AND IRON COUNTY YOUTH VOLUNTEER CORPS DONATES THANKSGIVING MEALS
According to Sandy Smith, this year, Thanksgiving meals were donated to 64 less fortunate families. We teamed up with Cindy Rose and the Youth Volunteer Corp (YVC), who collected food from generous shoppers at Lin’s Market, Smith’s and Wal-mart. The Board of Realtors provided the rolls, pies and turkeys for each meal and delivered the full boxes to each family. Special thanks goes out to Marcus Hansen, Joel Hilkert, Jan Wilkinson, Brad Lewis, Kelly Adams, Mary Bell Royer and Kathy Long, for their time and willingness to deliver the meals. A big thanks goes to Carter Wilkey who picked up the turkeys AND helped with many deliveries. It was a very big project that couldn’t have been accomplished without the help and time given by many. The Realtors and YVC have put a smile on many people’s faces, THANK YOU!!
The Youth Volunteer Corps of Iron County is group of 11 to 18 year old volunteers that want to help make a difference in Iron County. The YVC is always looking for youth volunteers to join their program. There is no fee for what they do. The youth can join at any time. The service hours look great on college applications!
